Coulter Suspended: Will Miss Game Five

Tyler Coulter
The Western Hockey League suspended Brandon Wheat Kings’ F Tyler Coulter Friday under supplemental discipline.

The length of Coulter’s suspension is listed on the WHL website as TBD (to be determined), but it’s a certainty he’ll miss Game Five on Sunday.

The suspension likely stems from an incident five minutes into the second period in Game Four on Thursday, where Coulter appeared to butt-end Edmonton defenceman Anatolii Elizarov in the chin when he got spun around by the Oil Kings’ defenceman after trying to re-direct a Jayce Hawryluk pass just in front of the crease on a Wheat Kings’ power-play chance.

Coulter was assessed a minor penalty for roughing on the play, while Elizarov left the game and did not return.

Sounds like an accident . He shouldn't be suspended at all.
