The Western Hockey League's 20-year old deadline hits Thursday morning, with each of the league's 22 teams having to be down to three 1995-born players on their roster by 11:00 a.m.
The Wheat Kings currently have five 20-year old players on their roster in Tim McGauley, Quintin Lisoway, Rihards Bukarts, Colton Waltz and Macoy Erkamps.
However, it is likely Brandon will have a little more time to make their final decision.
With McGauley currently out with an upper body injury, Brandon can place him on the 30-day injury list and keep him and three other 20-year old players until McGauley is ready to return to the lineup next month.
However, that still means the Wheat Kings will need to release or trade one of their other 20-year old players by today's deadline.
