Flames Exploring Kylington's Contract Status

Oliver Kylington
The Brandon Wheat Kings' first pick in Tuesday's CHL Import Draft could be coming to North America.

Randy Sportak of the Calgary Sun reports that the Calgary Flames are looking into whether Oliver Kylington's contract with a pro team in Sweden (AIK) has an outclause that would allow him to report to the American Hockey League or the Western Hockey League.

"We want to do what’s best for him," Flames' assistant GM Craig Conroy told Sportak, "We don't want to throw him in a situation that doesn’t benefit him. We want him to play tons of minutes and just develop."

The 6-foot-0, 185 pound Kylington was chosen by the Flames in the second round of the 2015 NHL Draft.
