Wheat Kings Off to Hockey Canada Camp

  Brandon Wheat Kings' goaltender Jordan Papirny and prospect Hunter Arps are among 34 netminders invited to Hockey Canada's Program of Excellence goaltender camp later this week.

  Papirny is one of nine netminders in the under-20 group.

  He's coming off a season during which he led the Western Hockey League with 44 wins this past season while also recording a 2.74 goals against average and .910 save percentage.

  Arps is one of 18 goaltenders in the under-17 group.

  The Pleasantdale, Saskatchewan product was a fifth round pick of Brandon in the 2014 bantam draft.

  He had a 6-8-0 record with a 2.34 goals against average and .927 save percentage in 14 games with the Saskatchewan AAA Midget Hockey League's Moose Jaw Generals last season.
