WHL Suspends Pats' Defenceman

The Regina Pats will be without Sergey Zborovskiy for Game #3 against Brandon on Tuesday night.

The Pats’ defenceman was suspended by the Western Hockey League Monday for his blind-side hit on Brandon forward Jayce Hawryluk late in the third period of Game #2 on Saturday night.
The length of the suspension has yet to be determined.
Regina will get defenceman James Hilsendager back for Game #3 after he missed the opening two games of the series while serving a  suspension for an incident in the Pats’ first round series against Swift Current.
Meanwhile, Hawryluk and Wheat Kings’ defenceman Colton Waltz both missed practice Monday after both were injured in Game #2.
That leaves their status up in the air for Game #3.
Morgan Klimchuk participated in the first 30 minutes of practice Monday before leaving.
Klimchuk has missed the last four games with an undisclosed injury.
