Hawryluk Out a Month

Jayce Hawryluk
The Brandon Wheat Kings will be without their second-leading scorer for at least a month.

Jayce Hawryluk suffered an upper body injury in last Friday's win over the Lethbridge Hurricanes and is listed as week-to-week on the WHL injury report, indicating a longer-term injury.

The 18-year old Hawryluk has 19 goals and 47 points in 40 games this season, leaving the Florida Panthers' second round draft pick in the Top-25 in the WHL in both of those categories.

He's also tied for fourth in the league with a +27 rating.

Brandon is back in action this weekend, hosting the Prince Albert Raiders on Friday night and then entertaining Jesse Gabrielle and the Regina Pats on Saturday.

Both games are 7:30 p.m. faceoffs at Westman Communications Group Place.
