Canada Ousted at U17's

Nolan Patrick and Canada-Red lost 4-1 to Russia in quarter-final
action Thursday at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge

  All three Canadian teams lost their quarter-final matchups Thursday at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Sarnia-Lambton, Ontario.

  Wheat Kings' centre Nolan Patrick and Canada-Red dropped a 4-1 decision to Russia; Brandon product Tanner Kaspick and Canada-White lost 2-0 to Sweden and Wheat Kings' blueliner Kale Clague and Canada-Black fell 5-1 to the United States.

  In that game, Wheat Kings' draft pick Joey Anderson scored a pair of goals for the Americans.

  The three Canadian teams will play in consolation / placement games Friday, while Friday semifinals will pit the United States against Sweden and Russia versus Finland.
