Panthers Return Hawryluk to Brandon

  The Brandon Wheat Kings got another shot of good news Thursday morning.

  Jayce Hawryluk has been assigned back to the team by the Florida Panthers after making his NHL pre-season debut Wednesday night.

  The Roblin product led the Wheat Kings in scoring last season with 24 goals and 64 points in 59 games and was chosen in the second round by the Panthers in the 2014 NHL Draft, 32nd overall.

  Hawryluk should make his season debut with the Wheat Kings Friday night when they host the Saskatoon Blades (7:30 p.m., Westman Communications Group Place).

  John Quenneville is also expected to make his season debut Friday night after being assigned back to the Wheat Kings by the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday.
