One Quenneville Returning to Brandon

Jayce Hawryluk will participate in Florida's training camp.
A bit of a plesant surprise for the Brandon Wheat Kings on Wednesday.

20-year old forward Peter Quenneville was not retained by the Columbus Blue Jackets for their main camp, and is returning to Brandon.

Quenneville was a seventh round pick of Columbus in the 2013 NHL Draft and scored two goals in four gmaes in helping the Blue Jackets win the Traverse City Prospects Tournament earlier this week.

He's expected to be at practice Thursday and be in the lineup for Brandon's home opener Friday night.

Meanwhile, four other members of the Wheat Kings were officially put on main camp roster by NHL teams Wednesday including Eric Roy and Richard Nejezchleb.

Both were injured at Prospects Tournaments late last week but remain with the Calgary Flames and New York Rangers respectively.

In addition, John Quenneville is in the New Jersey Devils camp and Jayce Hawryluk is in camp with the Florida Panthers.
