Notes
- Rihards Bukarts (upper body) will not be in the Wheat Kings' lineup for tonight's first-place showdown with Swift Current.  Braylon Shmyr (healthy) will also be out, with Brandon's final scratch to come after warmup. **UPDATE: Brett Kitt was Brandon's final scratch**

- With Bukarts out, Tyler Coulter moves into the left-wing on a line with Chad Robinson and Jens Meilleur.  Coulter had a bit of a hot streak in December and early January but has slowed down offensively lately, producing just one assist in his last eight games.

- This is the fourth straight head-to-head game between the Broncos and Wheat Kings that's been for first-place.  Games on January 17, January 22 and this past Friday (February 7) have also resulted in the winner being atop the East Division.

- Look for Brandon to draw from experience heading into this contest.  The Wheat Kings blasted Regina 8-0 in their first game after Christmas, and then went into Regina the following night and lost 8-4.  Being unprepared or thinking it was going to be easy was part of the issue that night, but don't look for a repeat after Friday's 8-1 victory over Swift Current.

- Former Wheat King Geordie Maguire (mono) misses his sixth straight game for Swift Current while Bobby Zinkan sits his second game of a three-game suspension for coming off the bench and getting involved in an altercation on Friday night.  Dakota Odgers was also suspended, for one game, for the same reason and incident and served his one-game suspension last night.  Tonight, he sits as, presumably, a healthy scratch.
