- F John Quenneville (upper body) misses his third straight game for Brandon with Brett Kitt (healthy) also out of the Wheat Kings' lineup tonight.  They'll be joined by one more Brandon scratch after the pre-game warmup.

- Brandon has an opportunity to move into sole possession of first-place in the WHL's East Division with a victory tonight.  The Wheat Kings are one point behind Swift Current with two games in hand.  Brandon is 2-3-2-0 in their last seven road games.

- The Wheat Kings are 2-1-0-0 against the Rebels so far in 2013-2014 and have won nine of the last 11 meetings between the two teams including five straight at the Enmax Centrium.

- Patrik Bartosak is a big reason for Red Deer's recent success.  The Rebels have won six of their last seven games and Bartosak, the reigning WHL and CHL Goaltender of the Week, has three shutouts so far this month and, overall, has a 2.43 GAA and a .933 SPCT in 11 January starts.

- The Rebels feature two of the top WHL Prospects for the 2014 NHL Draft in defenceman Haydn Fleury and forward Connor Bleackley.  Fleury was rated 6th among North American skatings in the NHL Central Scouting Services' mid-term rankings while Bleackley was ranked 31st.  Both played in the CHL Top Prospects Game earlier this month in Calgary.
