- Goaltender Curtis Honey is out of the Wheat Kings' lineup tonight, with the unofficial word that he is sidelined because of illness.  Defenceman Eric Roy (lower body, day-to-day) is also out tonight while Brett Kitt and Ryley Lindgren are presumed healthy scratches.

- Jayce Hawryluk returns to the Brandon lineup after serving his two-game suspension.  Hawryluk leads the Wheat Kings with 33 points this season including eight goals and 22 points in his last 14 games.  He'll go right back on the line with John Quenneville and rookie Jesse Gabrielle.

- Tonight is the last game for Richard Nejezchleb before he leaves the Wheat Kings to attend the Czech Republic Selection Camp and, quite likely, the 2014 World Junior Hockey Championship.  Nejezchleb will miss Brandon's final two games before Christmas and as many as seven games after the break.

- Brandon's special teams have done well lately, with the penalty-kill going 14-for-17 (82.4%) in the five games since the team switched to a more aggressive philosophy.  The power-play went 0-for-4 last time out in Moose Jaw Saturday, but is still 21-for-66 (31.8%) in 16 games since November 1st.

- the Blazers are having a tough season, sporting a 6-20-2-2 record this season and recording just one victory in 11 road games to date.  Kamloops brings a 12-game losing streak (0-10-0-2) into tonight's contest, having been outscored 59-21 in that 12-game stretch.
