- goaltender Curtis Honey (upper body) will miss his seventh straight game for the Wheat Kings while it appears D Eric Roy (lower body) will return to the lineup after missing one game.  In the unlikely event Roy can't go after warmup, then Kord Pankewicz will play for Brandon.  F Jesse Gabrielle, F Brett Kitt and F Tyler Coulter will be healthy scratches for Brandon tonight.
NOTE: Roy played Friday while Pankewicz was a healthy scratch.

- Gabrielle was named to Team West for the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge earlier today.  The 16-year old has two assists in 10 games with Brandon this season.  Among the other players named to the 22 player roster were Brandon product Tyson Verhelst, Virden's Wyatt Kalynuk and Boissevain's Meyer Nell.  Here's Jesse Gabrielle talking about making Team West prior to Friday's game...

- Brandon is looking for a third straight victory tonight, which would be a season high for the Wheat Kings.  They've won back-to-back games five times this season including their current two-game win streak but have yet to stretch that streak to three consecutive victories.

- Brandon's power-play is 9-for-23 (39.1%) over the last six games and now ranks 6th in the WHL with a 24.0% success rate.  They've scored two power-play goals in each of the last three games.

- The Wheat Kings will play five straight road games following tonight's contest, with their next home November 30 vs. Prince Albert.
