Notes
- Brandon scratches include D Ryan Pulock (wrist) and F Richard Nejezchleb (hand/thumb), who are both out for their fourth game in a row. F John Quenneville (groin) is out for the third straight game.  F Tyrel Seaman (concussion, out for season) and F Nick Buonassisi (I presume illness) are also scratched tonight.

- F Tyler Coulter is up for his third game as an AP for the Wheat Kings.  Coulter is currently sixth in the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League in scoring with 49 points -- one of six Wheat Kings' prospects in the top 16 in scoring in the MMHL.  One of the other five, Jordan Bochinski of the Winnipeg Wild, will be out guest during our second intermission show tonight.

- Brandon is nine points behind the eighth-place Blades for the final playoff spot in the WHL's Eastern Conference entering tonight's contest.  The Wheat Kings haven't been double-digits out of a post-season berth this season, but could be if they don't get a favourably result tonight.

- Candid conversation with Blades' GM/Coach Lorne Molleken for my pre-game show tonight.  I asked him how he felt his team was handling the pressure of being Memorial Cup hosts.  His response "Not very well at all...."  That interview coming up in our pre-game show tonight.

- After tonight, the Wheat Kings will play four of their next five games on the road including a three-game in three-night Alberta road trip this weekend that takes them to Red Deer on Friday, Edmonton on Saturday and Calgary on Sunday.

- BREAKING NEWS: Rhett Gardner, whom the Brandon Wheat Kings acquired from Spokane in the Alessio Bertaggia deal, has committed to the Unversity of North Dakota. Gardners's Twitter profile (@RhettGardner22) now reads "#22 Moose Jaw  Committed to the University of North Dakota".
