Notes
- Brandon scratches tonight are F Jayce Hawryluk (illness), D Ryan Pulock (wrist), F Richard Nejezchleb (hand) and F Tyrel Seaman (concussion). John Quenneville (groin) returns to the lineup tonight after missing three games.

- Following Thursday's WHL Trade deadline, the Wheat Kings are now featuring a roster that has 15 of it's 23 players born in 1994 (18-year olds) or later.  Nick Walters and Marek Kalus will both make their Wheat Kings' debuts tonight.
Nick Walters
- Had a brief conversation with Kord Pankewicz prior to the game, and the 16-year old is looking forward to the transition of moving back to defence for the rest of the season.  When Pankewicz was drafted by the Wheat Kings 11th overall in the 2011 Bantam Draft, Brandon GM Kelly McCrimmon told me that he projected to be a defencemen in the WHL and re-iterated that stance at training camp last fall, although Kord was going to play forward in his rookie season. It'll be interesting to see how Pankewicz handles the over the final 29 games of the regular season, but he's going to get a chance to show his stuff.

- Talked to a couple of people here in Moose Jaw prior to the game.  The assure me that Rhett Garnder, the 16-year old forward Brandon got as part of the Bertaggia trade yesterday, is the real deal. Gardner plays with the Moose Jaw Generals of the Saskatchewan AAA Midget Hockey League.

- Of of the two teams tonight will see a lengthy losing streak end. The Warriors have also lost five in a row heading into tonight's contest.
