Bertaggia Helps Switzerland to First Win

Brandon Wheat Kings' forward Alessio Bertaggia had a goal and an assist to help Switzerland to a 7-2 victory over Latvia Thursday in their opening round-robin game at the 2013 World Junior Hockey Championship in Ufa, Russia.

Bertaggia assisted on Switzerland's first goal at 14:14 of the first period and scored the team's seventh goal on a clear breakaway at the 17:33 mark of the third period.

Switerland's next game will be against the defending gold medalist Sweden on Friday (6 a.m. CST).
