Pulock Named to Team WHL

Ryan Pulock
Brandon Wheat Kings' defenceman Ryan Pulock will be a member of Team WHL for the Subway Super Series for the second straight year.

Pulock, a likely first round pick in next June's NHL Draft, was one of nine defencemen named to the team on Thursday and is part of an All-Star cast that includes 2012 first round picks Ryan Murray, Griffin Reinhart, Derrick Pouliot, Morgan Rielly and Mathew Dumba.

The 18-year old Pulock is off to a terrific start to the 2012-2013 campaign and leads all WHL defencemen in scoring with seven goals and 18 points, which also puts him in a tie for ninth overall in league scoring.

His +10 rating is tied for ninth best in the WHL and his eight power-play assists has him tied for fourth in the league in that category.

Pulock will play for Team WHL against the Russian Selects on November 14th in Vancouver, with the second game to take place on November 15th.

A reminder that Team WHL consists of players that would be eligible to play for Canada at the 2013 World Junior Hockey Championship, which eliminates 20-year olds, imports and American-born players from consideration.
