Notes
- Brandon's scratches tonight are F Jason Swyripa (wrist, indefinite), F Richard Nejezchleb (upper body, day-to-day) and D Ryley Miller (illness).  Miller was a late scratch for the Wheat Kings, as Riley Van Horne was originally slated to be out of the lineup as a healthy scratch.

- Nice gesture by the Wheat Kings to give Ayrton Nikkel the start on defence in his hometown tonight. Nikkel made his WHL debut in Kelowna on December 4, 2010 as a member of the Saskatoon Blades but this is his first visit back as a member of the Wheat Kings.

- Alessio Bertaggia enters tonight's game riding a three-game point streak (4 G, 2 A), the longest current streak on the Wheat Kings.

- Myles Bell leads the Rockets in scoring and, according to the WHL, leads all defencemen in the league in scoring but the 19-year old has been playing forward for much of the season and will be again tonight.

- Rockets' defenceman Damon Severson is a Brandon product, somewhat. He was born in Brandon but grew up in Melville, Saskatchewan.  Severson was a second round pick of New Jersey in the 2012 NHL Draft and has two goals and six points in 10 games this season.
