- Brandon scratches are F Jason Swyripa (wrist, indefinite), F Richard Nejezchleb (upper body, day-to-day), F Kord Pankewicz (healthy) and F Daniel Asham (healthy).  Curtis Honey starts in goal.

- The Wheat Kings have played five straight one-goal games and seven of their ten games this season have been decided by a single goal.

- Former Wheat Kings Spencer Galbraith has two assists, 25 PIM and a -6 rating in nine games so far this season for the 3-6-0-0 Hurricanes.  He'll guest on my prre-game show tonight.

- The Wheat Kings have scored 39 goals this season, 16 of which have been scored in games against Saskatoon on September 26th and last night's victory in Medicine Hat.  They've scored 23 in their eight other games.

- I have been saying Ryan Pulock is second in defenceman scoring in the WHL behind Kelowna's Myles Bell, but was informed earlier today that Bell has actually been playing forward this season for the Rockets.  At least I found out before the WHL office, who still list Bell as a D-Man, did.

- Team Alberta and Team B.C. were revealed today for the Western Canadian U16 Challenge Cup, which takes place November 1-4 in Calgary.  Brandon's first round pick in the 2012 Bantam Draft, F Braylon Shmyr, made Team Alberta and their second round pick, D Tanner Browne, made Team B.C.  Kirkland Lycer, a fourth round pick in 2012, is part of Team Manitoba.

Jason Swyripa (middle) out indefinitely with a wrist injury
