No News on next Wheat Kings' Coach

No news on the next head coach of the Brandon Wheat Kings.

Wheat Kings' general manager Kelly McCrimmon guested on this week's Monday Sports Talk on 880, CKLQ and updated Tyler Crayston and myself on the situation.

"There's not a lot of urgency at this point to hire a coach for the coming season," said McCrimmon, "There's a process that I plan to go through, I have a pretty good idea of how I want to approach it and we'll continue to work away at that until we make our choice."

McCrimmon also talked about the club's new five-year lease with the Keystone Centre on the program and revealed that they plan to have discussions with the Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba about the continuing conflict between the first round of the Western Hockey League playoffs and the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair.

"We're, hopefully, going to spend some time in discussion with the Provincial Exhibition to see if there is any opportunity to find a solution," said McCrimmon, "That's something I've talked with the Provincial Exhibition about already but those discussions really haven't begun at this point."

Here's the full discussion between Kelly McCrimmon, Tyler Crayston and myself on this week's edition of Monday Sports Talk on 880, CKLQ.
