- The Wheat Kings' goal is simple - a victory of any kind tonight would move them past the Pats and into at least seventh-place in the Eastern Conference. Brandon could also move into sixth place with a victory and a loss (of any kind) by Kootenay in Calgary.

- On the other side of the coin, a loss of any kind would leave the Wheat Kings in eighth-place and force a first round matchup with Edmonton. Brandon could also face Moose Jaw or Calgary but a possible all-Clouston battle against Medicine Hat is not part of the first round scenerio for the Wheat Kings going into the final game of the regular season.

- Brandon scratches G Brandon Anderson (personal), D Rene Hunter (upper body), F Dylan Kuczek (shoulder), F Daniel Asham (knee), F Bruno Mraz (illness) and F Kevin Sundher (concussion). Sundher will take warmup for the second straight night but will not play.

- Corbin Boes makes his 10th straight start in goal for the Wheat Kings. Boes has allowed two or fewer goals in nine of his last 11 starts and has a 2.48 GAA and .930 SPCT in his last 17 appearances (11-4-1).

- Little concerned about Brandon's lack of offence lately. The Wheat Kings have scored exactly two goals in four consecutive games, winning two of those by 2-1 scores.

- 20-year olds Brodie Melnychuk, Paul Ciarelli and Darian Dziurzynski play their final regular season game as Wheat Kings tonight. Melnychuk will finish third on Brandon's all-time games played list with 318, scoring 23 goals, 92 points and being +66; Ciarelli has played 238 games, scoring 30 goals and 65 points while Dziurzynski has played 303 games in his WHL career, scoring 91 goals, 159 points and 503 penalty minutes including 29 goals, 41 points and 104 PIM's with Brandon in 60 games this year.
