Notes
- the Wheat Kings scratch no fewer than seven players for tonight's matchup: G Brandon Anderson (personal), F Brenden Walker (unknown), D Rene Hunter (lower/upper body), F Dylan Kuczek (shoulder), F Daniel Asham (knee), F Tyrel Seaman (concussion) and F Kevin Sundher (concussion symptoms). Incidentally, Hunter and Asham failed to show up on the WHL Injury Report this week while Walker did practice yesterday so I'm assuming there's illness involved there.

- The end result is the Wheat Kings dress 16 skaters for tonight's contest including recent callup Colton Waltz. If you're rushing out to buy that Waltz Wheat Kings' jersey, he's wearing #5.

- I was asked about Brandon's injury woes prior to the game but, honestly, I've never considered it to be an issue as I'm of the view that they create opportunity for other players to step into larger roles. Obviously, you'd like all your players available every night but Brandon hasn't played since Saturday so everyone should be well-rested and ready to go.

- Brandon enters play tonight one point behind seventh-place Saskatoon and three behind sixth-place Regina in the Eastern Conference. The Blades are visiting Prince Albert tonight before travelling to Brandon for a doubleheader with the Wheat Kings on Friday and Saturday.
