Wheat Kings, Keystone Centre Negotiations Continue

Negotiations on a new lease between the Brandon Wheat Kings and the Keystone Centre are ongoing.

The hockey club's 15-year lease is set to expire at the end of May.

Keystone Centre general manager Neil Thomson said he was optimistic they'd reach a deal, though he expects it to be much shorter than the last that was signed in 1997.

Thomson was a guest of Bill Turner on 880 CKLQ's Feedback program on Wednesday and despite the Wheat Kings being the building's primary tenant, the issue was talked about for less than a minute...

As you can hear, there was no music playing but it certainly sounded like there was a lot of dancing going on in that discussion.
