Thoughts, Prayers and Support for Dutiaume, Lowes Families

Another reminder for the extended Brandon Wheat Kings' family about how precious life can be.

Todd Dutiaume's wife Kelly died in childbirth earlier this week along with their twin babies.

The Scottish Sun story on the tragedy is here.

Dutiaume played with the Wheat Kings from 1991 to 1993, and has been playing with the Fife Flyers in Scotland for the past 13 years.

The couple already had a daughter, Olivia, who is 3.

The club's Facebook page has been flooded with messages of condolence and it's expected a donate button will be added to the Flyers website later today.

Meanwhile, Shelley Lowes, the wife of longtime Wheat Kings' coach Bob Lowes, has undergone surgery in Regina after being diagnosed with breast cancer.

The family is maintaining a blog entitled We can...with love! throughout.  Bob provided an update on the latest news last night.

As you go through your day today, remember to send your thoughts, prayers and support to the Dutiaume and Lowes families.
