Notes
- the Brandon Wheat Kings scratch G Brandon Anderson (unknown), F Kevin Sundher (concussion), F Tyrel Seaman (concussion) and F Jason Swyripa (leg). The addition to Tim McGauley does allow the Wheat Kings to dress 18 skaters for the first time since the February 12th game in Medicine Hat (5 Games).

- Brandon enters Friday's contest sitting eighth in the WHL's Eastern Conference, two points behind seventh-place Regina. The Pats host Moose Jaw tonight before travelling to Brandon for a matchup with the Wheat Kings tomorrow night.

- The Wheat Kings' specialty teams have been hot lately. The penalty-kill is 9-for-9 in the last four games, the first time this season the team has gone four straight games without surrendering a power-play goal. Brandon's own power-play is 10-for-32 (31.3%) in 10 games so far in February.

- Swift Current has been hit the injury bug as well, perhaps more than the Wheat Kings. Adam Lowry (wrist) has been out for the entire second half but could return in the next two weeks. D Jordan Evans (concussion) has missed virtually the entire season while F Christian Magnus (concussion) hasn't played since being hit by Brandon's Michael Ferland the last time these two teams met on February 10th. F Shea Howorko and D Erik Fleming are also out because of injury tonight.

- Despite Brandon's 5-1-0-1 record against the Broncos this season, all seven games have been hotly contested. Swift Current's power-play has scored nine times on 23 chances versus the Wheat Kings this season and is ranked fourth overall in the WHL.
