Notes
- Brandon scratches F Tyrel Seaman (suspected concussion), G Corbin Boes (broken hand), D Dylan Kuczek (healthy) and D Ayrton Nikkel (healthy).
- G Curtis Honey gets his first career WHL start in goal for Brandon. The 17-year old Honey has made a pair of relief appearances since joining the Wheat Kings after Christmas.

- Don't let the 13-point difference in the standings fool you. This is an important weekend for the Wheat Kings, having back-to-back lopsided losses and have going 5-9-0-0 in their last 14 games has dropped Brandon into eighth-place in the Eastern Conference and, all of a sudden, they can see teams in the rear-view mirror rather than looking at moving up in the standings. Red Deer sits ninth, seven points behind Brandon with two games in hand.

- The Raiders have lost two straight after a five-game winning streak and going 8-1-0-1 in their previous 10 games. They've, at the very least, gotten themselves back into the conversation when it comes to the playoffs.

- Brandon product Carson Perreaux misses his seventh straight game with a shoulder injury for the Raiders.
