Notes
- the Wheat Kings are scratching G Corbin Boes (hand), F Tyrel Seaman (concussion) and D Eric Roy (shoulder).

- Brandon will be trying to break a four-game home-ice losing streak as they look for their first win at Westman Communications Group Place in 2012. Brandon is 1-5-0-0 in their last six homes games and 2-6-0-1 in their last nine.

- the Wheat Kings surrendered 46 shots to the Blades in Saskatoon last night including 20 in the second period alone. Its the 15th time this season Brandon has given up 40 or more shots in a game, and 8th time they've given up 20 or more shots in a period. By comparison, Brandon gave up 40+ shots nine times all of last season and 20+ shots in a period just four times a year ago.

- the Ice are coming off a 6-5 overtime loss in Moose Jaw last night. It was the fourth straight game that Kootenay has gone to extra time.

- Ice captain Drew Czerwonka (upper body, week-to-week) and Winnipeg product Luke Paulsen (upper body, indefinite) are out of Kootenay's lineup tonight while rookie MacKenzie Skapski starts in goal.
