- The Wheat Kings scratch Alessio Bertaggia (shoulder), Tyrel Seaman (concussion), Corbin Boes (hand) and Mark Stone (Cdn Jr Team).

- Brandon Anderson makes his fourth straight start. Anderson has been solid in the last three games, stopping 114 of 124 shots, and got some extra instruction from Washington Capitals' goaltending coach Dave Prior at practice yesterday.

- This is Brandon's final game before an 11-day Christmas break. Their next game is December 28th when they host the Regina Pats. Brandon was 13-19-1-4 going into the break a year ago, 25-11-0-2 at the break in 2009-2010 and 20-13-1-1 in 2008-2009.

- Former Wheat King Jordan DePape, who was dealt to Kamloops in December of 2009 for Shayne Wiebe, has been sidelined since early October with a dislocated shoulder. DePape had surgery about six weeks ago, and is targeting March 1st to return to the Blazers' lineup. I talked to DePape before the game.

- Tonight's game also marks the return of Landon Cross to the Wheat City. The Brandon product has a third round pick of the Blazers in 2009, and has been in and out of the Kamloops lineup this season. Cross has one goal, two points and has an even plus/minus in 13 games this season. I also talked with Landon prior to the game.
