- Michael Ferland (3rd game of 3-game suspension), Tyrel Seaman (suspected concussion) and Dylan Kuczek (healthy) are Brandon's scratches tonight.

- After being shut out on home ice Sunday by the Regina Pats, the Wheat Kings line combinations and defense pairings underwent a massive overhaul. The new line combinations are posted above.

- The Oil Kings have won seven in a row heading into tonight's contest, and are looking to take over first overall in the WHL's Eastern Conference with a win tonight.

- Michael St. Croix, Dylan Wruck and Tyler Maxwell have been one of the WHL's most dangerous trios as of late. St. Croix has nine goals and 19 points in the last seven games; Wruck has five goals and 18 points in the last seven contests and Maxwell has five goals and 11 points in six games since joining the Oil Kings.
