- Brandon scratches are F Darian Dziurzynski (Game #1 of two-game suspension), F Dominick Favreau (lower body, 1 week) and F Jens Meilleur (upper body, 2 weeks).

- Brandon Anderson starts in goal for the Wheat Kings tonight. Anderson had two good starts after being acquired from Lethbridge October 16th, followed by a pair of starts in which he had to be relieved. He's looking to bounce back tonight.

- Alessio Bertaggia is looking to get his offensive game back in gear. The Swiss import had a great start to the season, but has slowed lately. He's got one assist in the last five games.

- Brandon Brock Sutherland plays his 11th game with the Hitmen tonight. He was acquired by Calgary from the Tri-City Americans on October 7th, and has 2 assists and a -1 rating in 10 games with Calgary. I spoke with Brock earlier today, and will have than interview for you during the second intermission of tonight's broadcast. I'll have it posted here later tonight.

- Winnipeg product Chris Driedger starts in goal for Calgary. He's 5-3-1 with a 2.24 GAA and .919 SPCT this season.

- Wheat Kings' prospect Ryley Lindgren was featured in the WHL Plays of the Week this week for a beauty goal he scored at the Western Canada U16 Challenge Cup last weekend in Moose Jaw. It's about 55 seconds into the video. You can check it out here...
