Stone Named WHL Player of Week

Mark Stone has earned the Western Hockey League's Player of the Week award for the second time this season.

Stone had three goals and five assists for eight points in three games last week while also recording a +4 rating.

The WHL's leading scorer also had a goal and an assist for Team WHL in Thursday's finale of the Subway Super Series in Moose Jaw.

Stone has goals in 14 of the last 15 games, and points in 24 of 25 games this season.

His 54 total points gives him an eight-point lead over Medicine Hat's Emerson Etem in the WHL Scoring Race.

He also leads WHL with a +24 rating and is tied for the league-lead with four game-winning goals.
