Notes
- Brandon scratches D Brodie Melnychuk (upper body, 2 weeks), F Dominick Favreau (lower body, 2 weeks), F Jens Meilleur (upper body, 3 weeks) and D Rene Hunter (upper body, day-to-day).

- Corbin Boes starts for the sixth time in seven games on the Brandon net. Luke Lee-Knight will start in goal for Spokane.

- As I mentioned yesterday, Dylan Kuczek is slated to make his season debut and play left-wing tonight on a line with Daniel Asham and Dakota Conroy. Brandon head coach Cory Clouston felt that their defensive core has played well the last couple of games, and they didn't want to break that up. Also, Kuczek is a left-shot which translates well to playing left-wing on that line.

- Brandon's power-play is humming along at 41.7% on the season (10-for-24) including 8-for-17 in the last four games. Ryan Pulock and Eric Roy give the Wheat Kings a formidible duo on the back end and, if the opposition wants to cheat to take them away, it opens things up for plays by the forwards down low.

- Spokane coach Don Nachbaur told me before the game that Reid Gow has been playing some forward for them already this season, and also had to have plastic surgery on his face this year after taking a nasty high-stick.

- Gow will be my guest during the second intermission show tonight, while you'll hear from Nachbaur and Clouston on our pre-game show on 880, CKLQ starting at 8:30 p.m.

- Brandon product Cody Nelson is listed as a question mark on the lineup sheet tonight but if I'm a betting man, he'll be in there. Had a great chat with Cody yesterday, an interview I'll have for you later this week.
