Walker Will Miss Training Camp

Brenden Walker
Brenden Walker will not be taking part in Wheat Kings' training camp this weekend.

The third-year forward is being held out for precautionary reasons after he had concussion symptoms return during an on-ice workout earlier this week.

Walker suffered a concussion from a blind-side hit from Hunter Shinkaruk during Game #3 of the Wheat Kings' first round playoff series with Medicine Hat last March and missed the rest of the post-season.

The Ste. Anne, Manitoba product had 25 goals and 52 points in 70 regular season games last season.

In another injury note, 15-year old John Quenneville is also out after injuring his shoulder during rookie camp on Thursday.

Quenneville was Brandon's third round pick in the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft.
