Price Tag for Wheat Kings' Games Goes Up

It'll cost you more to attend Brandon Wheat Kings' games during the 2011-2012 season.

The club announced on its website last week that single game ticket prices would be increasing. The $17 for an adult ticket is up one dollar from 2010-2011.

With the start of the 2011 Training Camp a few days away, the Western Hockey League’s Brandon Wheat Kings have announced their Regular Admission prices for the 2011-12 campaign.

The Wheat Kings, who will kick off the 2011-12 regular season with a home and home series with the Moose Jaw Warriors on Thursday and Friday, September 22nd and 23rd, have announced that “walk-up” prices for the upcoming season will be as follows:

Adults: $17
Gen X (18-30): $14
Seniors (60 Plus): $14
Youth (13-17): $12
Children (12 and under): $7

As well, all tickets purchased online, by phone or at the Keystone Centre box office will be subject to a $3 Ticketmaster agency fee.

Tickets to the Wheat Kings’ Home Opener against Moose Jaw on Friday, September 23rd will go on sale Friday, September 9th at the Keystone Centre box office, by calling 726-3555 or online at

Friday, September 9th also marks the date of Brandon’s first of two pre-season games. Tickets to both exhibition starts (Sept 9th vs. Moose Jaw and Sept 16th vs. Regina) will go on sale Tuesday, September 6th at 9 a.m.

Ticket prices for this year’s pre-season games are as follows:

Adults: $9.50
Gen X: $7.50
Seniors: $7.50
Youth: $5.50
Children: $3

Note: All tickets are subject to $3 Ticketmaster agency fee

In addition to Single Game tickets, the hockey club is busy selling 2011-12 Season Tickets this week and there is no where in the WHL that fans can receive a more affordable price than in Brandon.

With the price of an Adult Season Ticket of $350 plus GST, western Manitoba hockey fans are saving approximately 50% off regular admission price ($10 / game).
