No Wheat Kings, Manitobans on U18 Roster

Hockey Canada announced the roster for the World Under-18 Men's Hockey Championship today, and the 22 players include six from the Western Hockey League.

Defencemen Morgan Rielly (Moose Jaw), Ryan Murray (Everett) and Reece Scarlett (Swift Current) and forwards Mark McNeill (Prince Albert), Travis Ewanyk (Edmonton) and Colin Smith (Kamloops) all made the grade.

The team is led by head coach Mike Williamson of the WHL's Calgary Hitmen.

The World Under-18 Hockey Championship will take place in Germany from April 14 - 24.
