Stone Named East All-Star

The Western Hockey League named its Eastern Conference All-Star teams and award nominees on Thursday.

“It’s pretty neat,” says Stone, “I’ve been through a lot this season, but I feel like I've had some real consistency so to get some league recognition, it’s great.”

Brandon right-winger Mark Stone was named to the 1st All-Star team, another well-deserved honor for Stone after a season in which he finished in a tie for third-place in the WHL scoring race with 106 points.

No other Wheat Kings earned All-Star nods or award nominations but former Wheat King Brayden Schenn of the Saskatoon Blades was named a 2nd Team All-Star.
