Kessy Out for Game #3 for Tigers

Physical Medicine Hat forward Kale Kessy will not be in the Tigers' lineup tonight when they face the Brandon Wheat Kings in Game #3 of their Eastern Conference Quarter-Final in Winnipeg.

Kessy has been suspended for one game by the Western Hockey League for the checking from behind double minor he received during the first period of Game #2 on Saturday night.

The infraction was automatically reviewed by the WHL office.

It's the third time Kessy has been suspended by the WHL in the last two seasons.

He got two games for a checking-from-behind double minor against Lethbridge on December 18 of this year and also served a one game suspension for a boarding major last season.

The 18-year old Kessy had 10 goals, 24 points and 129 penalty minutes in 65 games during the regular season and was pointless in the first two games of this series.

What a joke that he gets less games for a repeat offense. Great job WHL. Looks like it's a free for all in the playoffs. The guy is a dirty player and I hope nobody gets a broken back from him.

a bitter canes fan.

Go Wheaties. Put those dirty baby cats to rest. They have never been a classy team. The team is a reflection of their fan base. I am not slandering, speaking from years of experience. Go to a game in the hat or talk to their fans who travel, you will see what kind of a town the hat is.
