Just Notes
- Corbin Boes makes a third consecutive start for the Wheat Kings. The Saskatoon product has a 2.68 GAA and .913 SPCT in 10 appearances since December 1st.

- With Wheaton King and Mark Mieritz being designated for assignment, Brandon's roster is at 22 players. D Ryley Miller (wrist) is missing his second straight game while Jens Meilleur (healthy) is the other scratch

- The last time the Wheat Kings entered the post trade deadline part of the schedule below .500 was 2006, when the club was 13-22-4-1 at the deadline. That year's team went 17-10-2-3 in their last 32 games.

- The Blades will honour Canadian Junior Team member Curtis Hamilton prior to tonight's game.

- BTW, Saskatoon is targeting January 22nd vs. Calgary as the date for Schenn's debut as a Blade.

- This is the first meeting between the Blades and the Wheat Kings since October 3rd, and the first of six meetings the rest of the season. That includes a pair of doubleheaders, one in Saskatoon February 23rd and 25th and one in Brandon on March 9th and 11th.

- Just one other quick note regarding the Schenn trade, the 2nd Round Pick in the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft the Wheat Kings received in the deal was the one originally belonging to the Prince George Cougars. All things being equal, it should actually be a few spots higher in the second round than the Blades pick would be.
