Liston Selected for CHL Top Prospects Game

Brandon Wheat Kings' goaltender Liam Liston will get a trip to Toronto next month.

The 17-year old St. Albert, Alberta product has been chosen to play in the CHL Top Prospects Game at the Air Canada Centre on January 19th.

The 6-foot-2, 202 pound Liston is 11-12-0-1, with a 3.42 goals against average, an .892 save percentage in 25 appearances so far this season.

Liston is one of 13 WHL players headed to the contest, which also includes a skills competition and three-on-three challenge taking place on January 18th.

Among Liston's Team Orr teammates are F Sven Bartschi (Portland Winterhawks),
F Colin Jacobs (Seattle Thunderbirds), F Shane McColgan (Kelowna Rockets), F Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (Red Deer Rebels), D David Musil (Vancouver Giants) and D Reece Scarlett (Swift Current Broncos).

WHLers to play on Team Cherry are F Mark McNeill (Prince Albert Raiders), F Ty Rattie (Portland Winterhawks), D Myles Bell (Regina Pats), D Joe Morrow (Portland Winterhawks), D Duncan Siemens (Saskatoon Blades), and D Tyler Wotherspoon (Portland Winterhawks).

Liston will not miss any games with the Wheat Kings while participating in the CHL Top Prospects event.
