Wheat Kings Assign Gaudet to Junior A

The Brandon Wheat Kings have reduced their roster by one, assigning 18-year old forward Jon Gaudet to the Manitoba Junior Hockey League's Winnipeg Saints.

Gaudet had two goals and four points in ten games with the Wheat Kings this season, but has been a healthy scratch for the last seven games.

Gaudet's departure leaves Brnadon with 24 players on their active roster -- 14 forwards, eight defencemen and two goaltenders.

This was a bad decision. Gaudet is solid player.

Totally agree with bringing him back before he gets picked up by another WHL team! And he had the passion..

Gaudet remains on Brandon's protected list, so he won't be picked up by another WHL team.

Hey Luber any insight as to why this decision was made? Making room for a returning player?

I also don't like this move. Would have liked to have seen him get more of a chance to win a spot.

Hope your right Luber that Gaudet doesn't get picked up. Want to see him back in Brandon.
