New Third Jersey's to be Unveiled Thursday

The Brandon Wheat Kings will unveil their third jersey on Thursday when the club hosts the Medicine Hat Tigers.

The team was without a third jersey last season because of the CHL switch to Reebok, which limited all teams to just the home and away jerseys.

According to a Wheat Kings' release, the new jersey is a complete redesign that sees a return to one of the club’s original colors – Wheat King Gold. The jersey features the hockey club’s BWK shield as the primary logo on the front and the traditional crown on both shoulders.

Replicas of third new jersey will also be for sale at both the Souvenir Shop and south end concourse display during both of this week’s games.

The new third jersey is somewhat similar to the club's old third jersey, but I still miss the Wheat Sheafs on the sleeve and across the front abdomen area.

Just for a comparison, here's the old third jersey....

I like the previous 3rd jersey better than any of the newer ones, the wheat sheaves were unique, can't believe they axed them

Just as a clarification point, it wasn't by the Wheat Kings choice that the Sheafs got axed. The CHL signed their new deal with Reebok to provide new jerseys for the start of last season. My understanding is Reebok is either unable or unwilling to replicate the Wheat Sheafs for the jerseys.

I like it but would prefer it with the old old wk logo.
