Glennie Draws Assist in Series Closer

Russia was crowned champions of the Subway Super Series on Thursday night in Prince George.

Stanislav Bocharov had a hat-trick for the Selects as the Russians defeated Team WHL 5-2, sweeping the two games from the Western Hockey League and finishing with four victories in six games versus the CHL squads.

Linden Vey (Medicine Hat) and Brett Connelly (Prince George) had the goals for Team WHL while Brandon Wheat Kings' centre Scott Glennie had an assist in the contest.

Calvin Pickard (Seattle) made 19 saves for Team WHL.

The series is used to help players showcase their talents for a possible invite to the Canadian Junior Teams' Selection Camp.

Hockey Canada is scheduled to release the list of players invited on November 29th.

The Selection Camp will take place from December 11-15 in Toronto, and then the 2011 World Junior Championship will be held in Buffalo from December 26th to January 5th.
