Just Notes
- newly acquired Hampus Gustafsson makes his Wheat Kings' debut tonight. Gustafsson was acquired from the Regina Pats for a sixth round pick in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft late Friday night. He'll wear #12.

- Brandon goaltender Corbin Boes makes his first WHL start on home-ice.

- Brandon scratches including G Liam Liston (healthy), G Jacob De Serres (healthy), D Eric Roy (healthy), D Jordan Fransoo (foot, indefinite), F David Toews (ankle, 5-7 weeks), D Kyle Krzyzaniak (healthy), F Jens Meiller (hand, 10-14 days), F Michel Ferland (knee, indefinite) and D Spencer Galbraith (healthy).

- Brandon product Brock Sutherland plays his second ever WHL game in WCGP. The Tri-City Americans' defenceman has one goal, four points and a -7 rating in eight games so far this season. Sutherland played as an affiliate player with Lethbridge as a 16-year old for his first career WHL game in his hometown.

- The Americans features nine Manitobans, including Sutherland. The other eight are all from Winnipeg (Driedger, Macek, Hughesman, Wilgosh, Schmidt, Prokop, Shinnimin, Conrod). Prokop (broken leg), Wilgosh (broken jaw) and Shinnimin (suspension) won't play tonight.

- Shinnimin is sitting out his second straight game for a suspension from the WHL for a hit from behind on Saskatoon's Josh Nicholls on Wednesday night. It has been erroneously reported that Shinnimin received a two-game suspension for the hit but, in fact, he has been suspended indefinitely while the league office makes a determination on the length.
