Just Notes
- Brandon scratches include G Ty Rimmer (healthy), G Jacob De Serres (healthy), D Jordan Fransoo (foot), D Kyle Krzyzaniak (healthy), D Ryan Pulock (healthy), F David Toews (ankle), F Michael Ferland (knee) and F Jens Meilleur (hand).

- with the Toews injury, Brandon dresses Wiebe, Bestland and Schneider as their three 20-year olds tonight.

- a bit of an oddity on the two coaching staffs. Brandon's entire coaching staff (McCrimmon, Ritchie, Vandenberghe & Gylywoychuk) are all former Wheat Kings while Red Deer's entire staff (Jesse Wallin, Bryce Thoma, Chris Neiszner) are all former Rebels.

- Minnedosa product and Red Deer rookie Chad Robinson plays his first WHL game back in his province. The former Yellowhead Chief has two assists in six games so far this season.

Feeling really awful for Jacob De Serres. How much more obvious could Kelly McCrimmon make it - he's not going to keep him; at least he cut Hayes loose and pulled the band-aid off quickly. With Jake, a good guy, he's making him play the waiting game. Why not respect the guy enough to play him to try to showcase him and trade him?!? That's what happens to the good ones.
