Wheat Kings Drop 2nd Straight

Josh Nicholls scored with 1:24 left in the third period to lift the Saskatoon Blades to a 4-3 victory over the Brandon Wheat Kings on Sunday night.

Marek Viedensky and Curtis Hamilton added a goal and an assist each for Saskatoon while Matej Stransky also tallied for the Blades.

Mark Stone, Jason Swyripa and Paul Ciarelli scored for the Wheat Kings, who led 2-0 after the 1st period but trailed 3-2 through 40 minutes.

Ty Rimmer stopped 29 shots in the Brandon net while Steven Stanford stopped 26 shots for Saskatoon.
