Proft Headed Back to AMHL

The Brandon Wheat Kings made another roster move Tuesday, assigning 16-year old forward Carter Proft to the St. Albert Raiders of the Alberta AAA Midget Hockey League.

Proft saw action in one regular season game and four pre-season games with the Wheat Kings, going pointless.

Last season, the 5-foot-11, 195 pound Proft had three goals and six points in 32 games with the Knights of Columbus Pats in the AMHL.

The son of former Calgary Wrangler Parie Proft was Brandon's fifth round pick in the 2009 WHL Bantam Draft.

The move reduces Brandon's roster to 29 players -- four goaltenders, 10 defencemen and 15 forwards.
