Just Notes...Plus Info on Home Opener

- the Wheat Kings have delayed the naming of their leadership group until tomorrow. I'm told the captain(s) and alternate captains will likely be named during the team's noon-hour meeting on Friday, so I should have something on it tomorrow afternoon.

- The Los Angeles Kings will play a pair of NHL pre-season games against the Phoenix Coyotes tonight (Thursday), one in LA and one in the desert. Brayden Schenn is slated to play in the game in Los Angeles.

- 20-year old D Mark Schneider (hip flexor) is out for this weekend while Brandon's only other injury is to rookie forward Jens Meilleur (broken hand, 4-6 weeks).

- Wheat Kings have now pushed past the 2,900 mark for season ticket sales for the 2010-2011 season, including close to 150 so far this week.
