Just Notes...

- upon further review, it's been determined that Darren Bestland actually collected four points (2 goals, 2 assists) during Wednesday's win in Moose Jaw. In addition to the team's first two goals and an assist on the third goal, Bestland also should have been accredited with an assist on the fifth Brandon goal by Shayne Wiebe.

- on that note, there was a great article by Jim Riley at Yahoo! Sports about scoring changes in the WHL. Check it out here. I've always thought that with video replay now available in every arena, off-ice officials should review every goal during the intermissions and at the end of the game to ensure the proper players are getting goals and assists. The scoresheet, when submitted at the end of the game, should be accurate, not corrected a day or two later.

- the Wheat Kings' announced Thursday afternoon that they had surpassed the 3,000 mark for season tickets sales. As of 4:00 p.m., they were sitting at 3,020 season tickets sold for the 2010-2011 season.

- D Mark Schneider went through full practice with the Wheat Kings on Thursday after missing the first three games of the season with a hip flexor. He could return to action this weekened.

- F Michael Ferland, F Scott Glennie and D Jordan Fransoo were spectators at practice Thursday. Ferland appears to still be hampered by a sore knee, Glennie was recovering after taking an undetected stick to the chops on Wednesday in Moose Jaw and Fransoo is still bothered by a sore foot from a shot we took in the season opener.

- The Wheat Kings will try to accomplish something Friday they haven't done in 16 years, and that's win their first four games. The last time the club was 4-and-0 to start the season was 1994.

- It's interesting to note that Brandon got an honourable mention in this week's Canadian Hockey League Top 10 rankings.
