- McDonald's and the Wheat Kings are holding McWheat King Day today (Wednesday). Players are serving things up from 11:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. at the Richmond Avenue McDonald's.

- The Wheat Kings have also announced their off-ice plans for Friday's home opener against Regina. Montana's, Coca Cola Bottling, Obermaiers, Kuipers Bakery and the Keystone Centre are sponsoring a tail-gate party, beginning at 5:00 p.m., with proceeds to go the CIBC Run for the Cure. You'll also want to be in your seats a little early as RE/MAX is presenting a special look-back at the 2010 MasterCard Memorial Cup and the usual player introductions will also take place prior to the start of the contest.
