Notebook

Been away for a few days so a few items to catch you up on.

- Graduated 20-year old right-winger Aaron Lewadniuk has signed with the ECHL's Ontario Reign. The Reign are based in California and are an affiliate with the NHL's Los Angeles Kings. Lewadniuk had 52 goals and 133 points in 128 games over the past two seasons with the Wheat Kings including 37 goals and 86 points in 65 games last season.

- Former Wheat Kings' goaltender Tyler Plante has re-upped with Florida, agreeing to a one-year, two-way contract with the Panthers. Plante, 23, had a 2.66 GAA and .914 SPCT in 26 games with the AHL's Rochester Americans last season.

- Former Wheat Kings' defenceman Dustin Kohn inked a new one-year deal with the New York Islanders. Kohn made his NHL debut last season, recording four assists in 22 games with the Isles. He also had two goals and 17 points in 45 games with Bridgeport (AHL).

- Former Wheat Kings' defenceman Darryl Boyle re-signed with the AHL's Peoria Rivermen earlier this month. Boyle had four goals, nine points and was +8 in 20 games with the Rivermen after being acquired from Rockford on March 1st. In total, Boyle had eight goals and 29 points in 72 games between Peoria and the Ice Hogs.
